Art has played a significant role in my life and has helped shape me into the person I am today. It has instilled in me a set of high values, moral standards, and a willingness to explore new concepts and theories. In my opinion, art is the ultimate form of expression, allowing individuals to communicate their emotions in a distinct and personal way.

A bit about myself

I am currently in my second year of university, at FSPAC (Faculty of Political, Administrative and Communication Sciences) studying Digital Media in Cluj-Napoca. Therefore, I am specializing in Web Design, Graphic Design, Media production but also Journalism.

I am accustomed to the Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, Illustrator and Premiere Pro, having worked with them for the last 2 years for both personal and professional projects. I am also skilled in social media marketing and PR as I had the opportunity to work with Instagram and Facebook tools.

TOKYO CITY

I wanted to create this composition so I can capture as much as I can of the Japanese culture in its essence. From the Kanji used on the left that translates as Japan's capital, to the reflected font which creates depth to the entire composition. I chose the color green as it represents the bonsai tree but also nature and used the rule of the thirds for the framing.

Maybe side effects don't scare me anymore

The image uses a bright contrast of between the yellow and the red hue of the picture, having the skateboard as the central element of the composition. The text is placed in a way that it leaves no space for any margins, therefore it gives the feeling of claustration and imprisonment.

WHY THIS PATH?

I have always been ardent about creating art, more specifically, pieces of work that show my true character and are filled with mystery and emotion. For me, it is visual art that always succeeds to impress with its complexity and expressivity, as I am often moved by this type of work. The most intriguing part of this vast artistic domain, in my vision, is undoubtedly represented by graphic design, which manages to illustrate and capture various aspects of one's everyday life giving them a deeper meaning.

MORE ABOUT MYSELF

I would describe myself as an ambitious and eager-to-learn individual. All of the work included in the portfolio describes me as an artist, for which I am assured that I can overcome any challenge, due to my previous expertise in digital art, along with my ardent will and motivation to discover to learn.

When it comes to future prospects, I am quite optimistic and motivated to achieve every milestone I have set for myself, including the pursuit of a career in the field of Graphic Design. Essentially, I want to evolve as an artist while producing remarkable pieces of work and learning every step of the way more about this industry, which is continuously growing and developing.

SOCIAL MEDIA CONTENT

a better understanding of how design works

In terms of previous work and activities that denote my current expertise in this domain, a good example is represented by the voluntary group that I belonged to, Interact. This is a non-profit organization dedicated to teenagers who can be involved in making positive changes in society. During 2021 and 2022, I proudly withheld the position of PR Agent on the board leading Club Interact Bistrița-Nosa, a function which implied tremendous amounts of responsibility, as it was my duty to maintain and improve the public image of the club.

A book fair meant to raise awareness regarding the younger generation that is reading less

STOP HUMAN TRAFFICKING

I competed with this artwork in a competition that had the purpose of raising awareness regarding human trafficking which is still a big issue globally. I used a bright red background that makes a strong contrast with the black code bars in order to emphasize the white text.

EXCHANGE JOURNAL

A project initiated as a university assignment in collaboration with Cristina Maria Lazăr is currently developing a community of international students who share their experiences as foreigners in Romania. Together, we are administrating the page, a task that includes creating graphics for posts but also shooting and editing reels, as we are active on TikTok as well.

INVISIBLE CHAINS:
The struggle to belong

The video was created, filmed, and edited during the ELIOS Acireale 2023 Filmmaking Lab. Its purpose is to raise awareness for those who are discriminated against due to their past. The story is told through the eyes of a former substance addict who is attempting to apply for a job.

FEVER DREAM

The story out of a fairy tale that shows escapism in its wildest forms, and tells the narrative of two young girls who find a safe space in each other's presence. The idea started from being in a dark place mentally and emotionally, and slowly managing to find the light at the end of the tunnel.
